Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to be launched on 29th August

Samsung has confirmed that the much awaited sequel for their phablet, Galaxy Note, will be coming to market on August 29th. Samsung has been busy in courtroom against Apple against the lawsuits for certain number of devices, however, outside the courtroom they are planning the launch of Galaxy Note 2, weeks ahead of rumoured Apple iPhone 5′s release date of 12th September.

Samsung is expected to release their next product a day before the IFA event scheduled to happen in Berlin on 30th August. “We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29,” a Samsung representative told Reuters earlier today which confirms their(Samsung’s) plan of launching the device weeks before the Apple iPhone’s release.

Although iPhone 5 will be directly competing against Samsung’s earlier launched flagship product, Galaxy S3, but as a plan, Samsung seems to be doing a perfect time launch for their Galaxy Note 2, which might go against the sales of iPhone 5 and might well increase the global share that Samsung owns.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is expected to be launched with a 5.5 inch unbreakable screen and is also expected to have improved camera, display and processor.

Samsung has always known for its innovation in the displays and this time with Galaxy Note 2, the expectations are really high. However the rumours say that the display for Note 2 will be same as that of Galaxy S3, which is quite brilliant. We would be more than happy to see such a great screen quality along with a huge sized phablet.

We are eagerly waiting for the release of Galaxy Note 2 which is scheduled to happen on August 29th, however we still do not know what Galaxy Note 2 is going to bring in for the customers. But we promise you that we will surely bring all the latest updates surrounding the Galaxy Note 2‘s release. Meanwhile keep checking this space for more updates.

5.5 inch Galaxy Note 2 release date set as 15 August

A few days ago we reported that Samsung is looking to release their much awaited Galaxy Note 2 on August 30, a day before the start of IFA Event in Berlin, However the recent reports suggests that the Galaxy Note 2 might come much earlier than expected. A few days earlier Samsung sent out invites for the media for an event on August 15, however according to a BGR, a source closer to Samsung informed that Samsung is actually looking to unveil the Galaxy Note 2 on 15th August event.

Galaxy Note 2

As per the previous rumours, It was believed that Samsung would be launching the next generation phablet on August 30, a day before the IFA Tech show in Berlin, however it is also known that Samsung want the device to be launched ahead of the launch of sixth generation smartphone from Apple. Hence for now we can safely assume the rumour date as 15th August to be true, however there is no confirmation from the Samsung officials on this.

The same source also confirmed that the second generation phablet will be having a 5.5 inch screen along with 1.6 GHz dual core processor and 8MP Camera along with all the other specs which we have already reported in other reports.

According to the source, Samsung would unveil the device on 15th August, however the source did not confirm the actual release plans from Samsung. It is also believed that the next generation phablet is going top outshine the earlier launched Samsung Galaxy SIII which is believed to be the best smartphone on planet at the moment. Hence if you have not yet got yourselves a Galaxy S3, I would certainly suggest you to wait for sometime because Samsung has never let down the expectation and this time I am sure they are going to launch the next generation phablet which is certainly going to outclass all other products.

Galaxy Note 2 release date on August 30?

The first and original Galaxy Note was released back in September 2011 in IFA trade show. It has been more than a year for the original Galaxy Note being in market. And these days we are hearing a lot of rumours about its successor as Galaxy Note 2.

Galaxy Note 2

It has been rumoured that the Galaxy Note 2 is soon to be unveiled in a special Unpacked mobile event from Samsung on August 30, a day before the IFA 2012 kicks off in Germany. Surely there is no more anticipated phone/phablet than the successor of Galaxy Note from Samsung and surely it will be the star of the evening.

The news came right from Asia where DDaily  reported that Samsung has scheduled a special Unpacked event on the eve of August 30 and has already been confirmed by Samsung. The event will take place in Berlin at 7 PM local time.

According to the earlier rumours, The Galaxy Note 2 is going to feature a larger screen than its predecessor, which is reportedly a huge 5.5 inch screen. The device is expected to run on Quad Core processor, most likely to be Exynos 4 Quad Core processor, S Pen, 3G and 4G Connectivity, rumoured 13MP Camera, possibly 64GB memory along with 16GB and 32GB Variants. The device will most likely run on the latest version of Android 4.1(Jelly Bean) however the news is not yet confirmed from Samsung.

It has also being rumoured that Samsung is interested to launch the Galaxy Note 2 before the launch of next Apple product – probably iPhone 5 which is rumoured to be released in October. Going to the same rumour, August 30th seems to be a perfect release for Galaxy Note 2.

However we believe that the roadmap of Galaxy Note 2 will follow similar to the release of Galaxy S3 where it was released first in European region with 3G speeds and the 4G came afterwards.

Galaxy Note 2:

After a huge success of Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung is now planning to launch its sequel into the market to strengthen their dominance in the smartphone market. Samsung had already become the #1 smartphone maker in the world and with these new rumours, Samsung is looking really strong against Apple and its other competitors.

Although initially the Samsung Galaxy Note was criticized because of its humongous size, but it was still a worthy smartphone which fetched Samsung more than 7 million sales. And with that kind of success, Samsung is expected to launch a worthy successor of Galaxy Note. For the time being we have no clue what Samsung is going to name it, so we assume it to be called as Samsung Galaxy Note II.

Galaxy Note 2 Rumoured Specs:

Galaxy Note 2 Screen:

We still do not have any official information about Samsung Galaxy Note 2, however, the guys at Ubuntulife claims to have found some important details about it. The Galaxy Note became famous for its confusing size which was sometime even termed as Phablet. However, guys at ubuntulife claims that the Galaxy Note 2 is going to have even larger display. Ubuntulife claims that Galaxy Note 2 will sport 5.5 inch screen size in diagonal and will come with 1680 x 1050 pixels resolution and 360 pixel density. The new Super AMOLED Screen will use the same PenTile Matrix used in the manufacture of Samsung Galaxy S3.

Galaxy Note 2 Processor:

In Terms of power and performance, the Galaxy Note 2 is going to pack 2GHz Exynos 5250 chipset which was unveiled last year and have never been used yet. The Galaxy Note 2 will come with only two cores, which can make you think that it might not be the strongest gadget out there, but actually its not just the number of cores that drives and decides the chipset performance, there are many other elements which affect it. Being said that, the Exynos processor will be supported by 1.5GB of RAM which will certainly enhance its power and performance. But again we have been wondering why Samsung is not going for 2GB RM instead of 1.5GB?Other features include 8MP rear Camera and LTE speeds both for US and international version of Galaxy Note 2.

Galaxy Note 2 Software:

Moving towards the Software segment, the guys at Ubuntulife are hesitant to say which version of Android will drive the Galaxy Note 2. We are anticipating and hoping to see the device on Android 4.1(or 5.0), Jelly Beans, however keeping the Galaxy Note 2 release date in mind, which will be around next few months, there is a high possibility that the Note 2 runs on Ice Cream Sandwitch. Other than the normal software, Will the future Galaxy Note 2 support some of the new techs introduced by Samsung in Samsung Galaxy S3, like S-Beam, S-Voice, NFC Capabilities, Pop-up-play etc? We are not sure about all that at the moment, but we will update you as soon as we get any information about it.

Galaxy Note 2 design:

The Galaxy Note 2‘s design is expected to look pretty much similar to Galaxy S3′s design with rounded corners, infact ubuntulife has even got a picture of what new Galaxy Note 2 might look like. However this picture should not be taken very seriously because it is based on so many assumptions out there.
