5.5 inch Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to be released this October with 2GHz processor

Galaxy Note 2:

After a huge success of Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung is now planning to launch its sequel into the market to strengthen their dominance in the smartphone market. Samsung had already become the #1 smartphone maker in the world and with these new rumours, Samsung is looking really strong against Apple and its other competitors.

Although initially the Samsung Galaxy Note was criticized because of its humongous size, but it was still a worthy smartphone which fetched Samsung more than 7 million sales. And with that kind of success, Samsung is expected to launch a worthy successor of Galaxy Note. For the time being we have no clue what Samsung is going to name it, so we assume it to be called as Samsung Galaxy Note II.

Galaxy Note 2 Rumoured Specs:

Galaxy Note 2 Screen:

We still do not have any official information about Samsung Galaxy Note 2, however, the guys at Ubuntulife claims to have found some important details about it. The Galaxy Note became famous for its confusing size which was sometime even termed as Phablet. However, guys at ubuntulife claims that the Galaxy Note 2 is going to have even larger display. Ubuntulife claims that Galaxy Note 2 will sport 5.5 inch screen size in diagonal and will come with 1680 x 1050 pixels resolution and 360 pixel density. The new Super AMOLED Screen will use the same PenTile Matrix used in the manufacture of Samsung Galaxy S3.

Galaxy Note 2 Processor:

In Terms of power and performance, the Galaxy Note 2 is going to pack 2GHz Exynos 5250 chipset which was unveiled last year and have never been used yet. The Galaxy Note 2 will come with only two cores, which can make you think that it might not be the strongest gadget out there, but actually its not just the number of cores that drives and decides the chipset performance, there are many other elements which affect it. Being said that, the Exynos processor will be supported by 1.5GB of RAM which will certainly enhance its power and performance. But again we have been wondering why Samsung is not going for 2GB RM instead of 1.5GB?Other features include 8MP rear Camera and LTE speeds both for US and international version of Galaxy Note 2.

Galaxy Note 2 Software:

Moving towards the Software segment, the guys at Ubuntulife are hesitant to say which version of Android will drive the Galaxy Note 2. We are anticipating and hoping to see the device on Android 4.1(or 5.0), Jelly Beans, however keeping the Galaxy Note 2 release date in mind, which will be around next few months, there is a high possibility that the Note 2 runs on Ice Cream Sandwitch. Other than the normal software, Will the future Galaxy Note 2 support some of the new techs introduced by Samsung in Samsung Galaxy S3, like S-Beam, S-Voice, NFC Capabilities, Pop-up-play etc? We are not sure about all that at the moment, but we will update you as soon as we get any information about it.

Galaxy Note 2 design:

The Galaxy Note 2‘s design is expected to look pretty much similar to Galaxy S3′s design with rounded corners, infact ubuntulife has even got a picture of what new Galaxy Note 2 might look like. However this picture should not be taken very seriously because it is based on so many assumptions out there.

Galaxy Note 2 Release Date:

If you have been impressed by the rumoured Galaxy Note 2 Specs, and are wondering about its release date, well, you can expect the phablet to be launched sometime in later part of this year. Most of the market researchers are expecting a date somewhere in October, however Samsung might change it based on what time Apple releases iPhone 5.

What do you think about these rumoured specs? Which one do you think to become a reality and which one do you expect to end as a rumour? Are you impressed by what we call as Samsung Galaxy Note 2? Let us know what you feel in the comments section below.
